PLASA 2008 saw several launches of digital audio mixing consoles at very good performance to price levels. Suitable for broad ranges of applications, the new digital consoles provide a wealth of features of the digital world while offering many advantages of the discrete controls 'analogue engineers' usually prefer.
PLASA also saw the expansion of digital audio distribution and of course many enhanced products as well as many proven sound products.
Environmentally friendly and energy efficiency were the keywords in the lighting sector. Power saving LEDs are being used for an ever growing range of applications such as moving head luminaires, washlights, or ambient lighting. High End Systems' presentation combining audio, video and lighting was another example of what system integration can do.
