Prolight+Sound debut of Mackie's DL/DLM portable sound series

On the heels of the launch of the DL806 at Winter NAMM 2013, Anaheim and following the launch of the DLM Series Powered Loudspeakers during PLASA 2012, Mackie debuts its DL/DLM System portable live sound solution at Prolight + Sound 2013, Frankfurt, Hall 8L80.
Each DLM Series powered loudspeaker delivers 2000 watts of Class-D power. The full-range DLM8 and DLM12 are equipped with Mackie’s TruSource driver that incorporates the high-output woofer and 1.75” compression driver into a compact common-magnet design. Both the DLM8 and DLM12 feature the Mackie DL2 integrated digital mixer, providing a dual-channel mixing solution with channel features like 3-band EQ and 16 effects. Further features include system processing like a multi-band feedback destroyer, six speaker modes and Smart Protect technology. The compact form factor of the DLM8 and DLM12 includes a rugged PC-ABS cabinet, powder-coated grille and integrated kickstand for personal monitor use. The companion DLM12S delivers 2000 watts for a powerful and deep low end. The integrated DLP digital processor provides system processing tools like a variable crossover, speaker modes for optimum voicing and the system protection. The rugged 15mm poplar cabinet sports a powder-coated grille and integrated pole-cup for mounting a DLM full-range loudspeaker plus additional configuration options that include wall mounting and flying for professional installs.
DL Series Digital Live Sound Mixers with iPad Control include the DL1608 and DL806. The DL806 hardware provides eight Onyx mic preamps and 24-bit Cirrus Logic AD/DA converters and a host of powerful plug-ins like EQ, dynamics, effects and graphic equalizer. The DL1608 is available worldwide and the DL806 will be available in the US in late April and internationally in late May.
