After last year's tragic events, Roskilde Music Festival 2001 (June 28-July 1, Denmark) felt a need to return to its roots. Traditionally, Scandinavia's largest music festival is a safe and joyous affair with a reputation for having a pleasant atmosphere. Fortunately, tradition reigned at this year's event. And unlike other years, the sun even made an appearance.
Tradition also has it that Martin lighting is present in abundance and that it was. Martin fixtures were present on all six stages, a package that included MAC 250s, MAC 500s, MAC 600s, MAC 1200s, MAC 2000s, PAL 1200 E, PAL 1200, Jem AF-1 Fans, RoboColor Pro 400s, Atomic 3000 strobes and Jem Magnum Pro 2000 smoke machines.
Lighting equipment for Roskilde was supplied by Conpro A/S, Goodwill Lyd &Lys and Seelite through Martin's local distributor Martin Danmark A/S.
