Martin Professional adds to MAC and Mania lines

Martin Professional comes to the prolight+sound exhibition 2006 in Frankfurt with a full ensemble of new lighting and fog effects. Making its first appearance at any exhibition worldwide will be the MAC 700 Wash, the companion washlight to the MAC 700 Profile. Also on display at the Martin stand B35 in Hall 9.0 will be the MAC TW1, Martin’s new 1200-watt tungsten wash fixture for the theatre and television studio market. Other important launches include Maxxyz PC, a PC-based version of the popular Maxxyz console; updated versions of the Maxedia Digital Media Composer and Maxxyz lighting console; and all new lights in Martin’s Mania series of portable effects some of which have been exhibited at Plasa and LDI in 2005. The MAC 700 Wash is the latest luminaire in Martin’s line of MAC moving heads. The companion washlight to the MAC 700 Profile, the 700 Wash is a powerful 700-watt luminaire featuring a full CMY color mixing system and variable CTC plus 8 position color wheel. It also includes a wide range variable zoom, continuous and indexable beam shaper, and a smooth and fast dimmer shutter system. Its optical system produces a remarkable light output. It also includes the same modular design and silent cooling as the MAC 700 Profile. The new MAC TW1 is a 1200W tungsten wash fixture that brings to the stage avant-garde features and patent pending technology to equip the lighting designer with the broadest possibility of effects, colors and design. A twin lens zoom system, full CMY color mixing and choice of internal or external electronic dimming are contained in a sturdy magnesium structure that allows the fast and silent convection of heat away from the back of the fixture so the stage or set remains cool and quiet. Maxxyz PC is a computer based version of the popular Maxxyz console. This off-line and online editing tool gives full Maxxyz functionality from the ease and convenience of a PC or laptop. It can be used for off-line programming and can be linked to any DMX interface device for direct control of fixtures. Featuring dongle-protected software without the need for expensive hardware, it is the ideal programming platform for a large variety of shows. Also, use Maxxyz PC in conjunction with the Maxxyz Wing, or as a backup to the Maxxyz console. The popular Maxxyz lighting console has undergone a series of significant improvements. Updates in version 1.5 include a complete PATCH revision, an overall speed upgrade, extended Preset functions, extended Copy commands, a number of Chase command revisions such as Chase Tap Sync/Learn timing, Chase Multipart timings, Chase directions, and more. The Maxedia Digital Media Composer has received a host of user requested updates. Version 2.0 includes a new and intuitive graphical user interface, improved output resolution, keystoning and framing, live camera support, a Media Manager, extended Media Library, revised DMX protocol, updated digital file playback support, and more. Based on Martin’s popular Wizard Extreme, the Mania EFX600 is a blinding “full house” 150W discharge effect light that kicks out a dizzying array of optics for high definition mid-air and projection quality graphics. A combined color and gobo wheel (12 sharp gobo designs) cast from a rotating and swivelling mirror drum ensure all new graphical looks. Other effects can be achieved through strobe effects, shake function and manual focus. The EFX600 is DMX controllable and is designed for both installation and portable use. The Mania SCX700 is an extraordinary and powerful 150W discharge moving mirror effect with state-of-the-art optics. The SCX700 features separate color and gobo wheels for a multitude of effects. It comes with seven interchangeable, indexable rotating gobos along with 9 interchangeable colors and a split color feature. A separate shutter is also included for fast strobe effects. Designed for both installation and portable use, the SCX700 is DMX controllable.
