Successful Congo lighting control console by ETC

Following the UK launch of its new Congo lighting control console at PLASA 2005 and subsequent introduction to the US market at LDI, ETC has registered many requests for Congo Offline Editor, which allows anyone to take the board for a test drive - by trying out the software on their own PC. The interest in the Offline editor is backed by sales and orders, both of which are growing rapidly.
One of the most recent installations in North America is the Holland Performing Arts Center, a new state-of-the-art complex in Nebraska. "I had my choice of any lighting console for the Holland," says production manager Buck Weyerman, who had read about Congo's heritage before the board was available to American markets. He was impressed by the ETC and Avab pedigree and the way the board had controlled the multimedia-filled 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.
The centre's new Congo seamlessly controlled the lighting schemes for an array of performances including theatre, dance and ballet, as well as classical, jazz, chamber and international music, during the 10-day Grand Opening Festival in October, and Weyerman and his colleague Scott Wasson, master electrician at the Holland, were so satisfied that they decided to purchase another Congo for the recital hall opening at the end of 2005.
