SIB 2006, Rimini, Italy, March 11 - 14, 2006

Technology, creativity and ambiance will be some of the key themes for SIB 2006. The 20th International Show of Event & Entertainment Technology, at Rimini Fiera from 11th to 14th March 2006, will propose unique events enabling the different technologies on show to interact for the first time at an expo.
The event within the event will be Image Ambient, an artistic installation thought up and designed for SIB by ambient designer Paolo Buroni, one of the most innovative contemporary experimenters who combines images with music and architecture in his large multimedia installations, forming a unique form of expression. Described as an "urban invader" by American critics, due to the impulse of his artistic tendency towards total images that conquer roads and squares, involving the three physical dimensions, Buroni has worked with sculptors Pier Paolo Calzolari and Arnaldo Pomodoro, musicians Uri Caine and Archie Sheep, actor Marco Paolini, and others.
With his fascinating multi-vision installations, he invaded the Venice Film Festival, the Sanremo song contest, the Marmore waterfalls, the Coex Center in Seoul, the F1 Grand Prix in Montecarlo, Milan's San Siro soccer stadium (for the Inter-Milan play-off) and, in September, Istanbul's Ataturk stadium for the inauguration ceremony of the 2005 Universiades.
Image Ambient will be staged in the SIB Atmosfair area - Design, Décor & Technology for New Entertainment (Hall A1). Buroni will be assisted by graphic designer Sabine Lindner. An artistic and technical space in which 3D projection of 1200 images by twenty projectors on a special rear-projection film will interact with music created for the occasion, amplified by a quadraphonic sound system and emphasized by aromas fed out by a special diffusion system, surrounding visitors.
