Gran Casino Aranjuez offers pure entertainment

Gran Casino Aranjuez
Located 40 km south of the Madrid, the Gran Casino Aranjuez is an ambitious project of the Spanish company Comar, which owns a chain of 19 casinos all over the world. The structure of the casino comprises two main areas, the large gaming room and the area for performances including a multifunctional auditorium with a stage measuring 31x7.5 metres and a seating capacity of up to 400. Another four adjacent multifunctional areas can be opened to the main auditorium removing mobile walls to a large room with a seating capacity of up to 2000
External architectural lighting was designed by Daniel Fayolle, assisted by a team of engineers from contractor Stonex. 68 CP Color 575 have been installed outside on specially built stands, located at a distance of about 10 metres from each other. The CP Color 575 are CMY colour changers which for the occasion have been fitted with special ovalizer filters to obtain the chromatic effect desired by Fayolle.
Club Area34 Stage Zoom 1200 and 12 Alpha Spot 575 have been placed on two levels at the back of the entrance balcony to project rotative images on the front wall.
Stonex provided the complete stage construction including mechanical systems, the power wiring as well as the audio and video gear. In collaboration with 3D Scénica, Stonex also installed and designed the stage lighting.
Designed to match the multifunctional character of the premises, the lighting design uses 12 Stage Zoom 1200 SV, 8 Stage Profile Plus SV, 12 CP Color MH, and other fixed theatrical lights for applications from theatre and musical performances to conventions or an evening of cabaret. Stonex opted for the “Silent Version” models with a moving body to have the guarantee of maximum silence.
Another 40 projectors of the Point range have been used in the small discotheque on the lower ground floor. In particular, embedded Point IN have been used for the leisure area and the bar, and Point MH for the lighting of the dance floor.
Underneath the Stonex has built the largest spiral platform for stages in the whole of Europe. The platform measures 12x5 m and can be lifted up to 10 m at a variable speed from 0 to 9 m/min carrying a maximum weight of 40 tons. Also installed are 18 motorised stage bars, most of which with adjustable speed (up to 0.9 m/s), 32 metres long, which can each support a weight of 1500 kg.
The audio system was designed by Adagio Pro in cooperation with the Stonex audiovisual projects team. It features a digital DM2000 audio console by Yamaha. The stages's sound reinforcement system includes Martin Audio speakers and MC2 power amplifiers: 2x 8 W8LM line array, 6 subwoofer WLX, six frontfields WTUB, two sidefields H3T, six monitors LE400C, four E-25, two E-45, two T1500 and two T2000. Signal processing is handled by two GQ600 and three DP6i by XTA, two optocore with fiber optics for the digital audio wiring, and Martin Audio's M3 processors.
At the multipurpose rooms an ATEIS PDM808 mixer with 16 HK Audio Installation Line 8.1 powered by four MC2 T500 power amps are installed.
The Gran Casino Aranjuez promises to be a new pole of international attraction. Built near an urban area vowed for rapid development with shopping centres, hotels, a railway station and a golf course planned, the venue is going to offer pure entertainment supported by state of the art technology.
