APG introduces DX5 multipurpose monitor speaker

APG DX5 coaxial monitor speaker DX5 is the latest addition to the popular Dispersion Series of high quality, multipurpose, monitor speakers from French loudspeaker manufacturer APG. Little brother to DX15, DX12, and the recently launched DX8, DX5 is the compact, light weight model to round the series.
Like the rest of the range, DX5 is a coaxial loudspeaker. As a result the DX5 features a very high level of sonic accuracy and optimized gain before feedback for “studio monitoring” type performance. DX5 is designed to be extremely versatile, especially suited to all types of nearfield listening applications including stage monitoring; distributed systems; delay or in-fill for high-power PA systems; as well as for sound reinforcement for small and mid-sized venues in its own right, with or without low frequency reinforcement, and more. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for applications where discretion needs to be combined with high quality sound reproduction. DX5 is particularly suitable for front-fill applications as it displays an exceedingly low profile when used horizontally.
Discreet yet extremely powerful for its reduced form factor, DX5 is recommended for theatre, TV studios, conference rooms and simillar applications. Combined with APG subwoofers, it provides a powerful compact system for sound reinforcement in small venues or theatres and performance spaces as well as for conferences, exhibitions and fashion shows.
A number of flying and mounting accessories are available as well as dedicated processors depending upon the application. Furthermore, the cleverly designed handles on the back make the enclosure exceptionally easy to handle. It can be flown or wall-, ceiling- or pole-mounted. Its sophisticated ergonomics and extraordinarily high levels of sonic performance are rare in such a reduced format.
DX5 will be available for shipping in January 2013.
