Tuesday, August 16th the SAE Institute Nashville campus and AXI Pro Audio Distribution will host a comparative demonstration of several new state-of-the-art mic preamps from manufacturers including Audient, ResoAudiotronics, Thermionic Culture and LA Audio. Special guests Gene Eichelberger (James Gang, Neil Young, Johnny Cash) and Chas Sanford (Chicago, Dan Hill, Bette Midler) will be on-hand to put the gear through its paces, while offering their personal insights, as well as an inside look at their own personal tips and tricks for getting the perfect sound. The event will take place from 6:00 PM until 9:30 PM at the SAE Nashville campus studios.
On August 26th and 27th SAE Institute's Nashville Campus will host a special mixdown session for students featuring Nashville engineers Bob Bullock and Jake Nicely, who will be demonstrating mix techniques heard on albums from The Tubes, Asleep At The Wheel, George Strait, Kenney Chesney, Bela Fleck and a host of other top recording artists. SAE students will get an intimate look at mixdown techniques of the professionals and will have the chance to analyze and discuss the sessions in real-time while learning from two more of Nashville's top engineers. |
