At winter NAMM 2004 TerraTec Prducer launched fiveadditions to the SINE Series which emerged from the alliance between TerraTec Producer and MAM. SINE Warp 9 MIDI analog multimode filter and SINE MB 33 II analogue bass synthesizer are musical instruments. 2 DI-boxes and the chromatic tuner SINE CT 1 are high quality studio tools.
Warp SINE 9 combines the classic circuitry of the legendary 1978-vintage Warp EDP synthesizer with state-of-the-art MIDI control and program patches. The core of the 19" device (1 RU) is a VCF featuring high-pass, band-pass, low-pass and notch filtering modes, which can be modulated in a variety of ways. Sine 9 sports envelope filtering, LFO, MIDI velocity, note value and modulation wheel commands for manipulating filter frequency. The envelope may be triggered via an analog input, and the LFO can be synchronized to MIDI clock. All adjustments made on the ten rotary knobs and five buttons are routed out via MIDI and can be stored in up to 32 patches.
The sound generator of the SINE MB 33 II analog bass synthesizer features discrete design with transistors, resistors and capacitors to generate unrivalled vintage tone. Sporting a VCO with selectable sawtooth and square waves, an 18 dB low-pass filter and a VCF input for external signals, its bringing back the sound of legendary TB 303 adding full MIDI compatibility, switchable sub oscillator and a distortion effect. 10 rotary knobs control filter's cutoff frequncy, resonance and envelope modulation as well as the square wave's pulse width and the balance of sawtooth / square wave and sub oscillator signals.
The SINE CT 1 chromatic rack tuner serves as a tuning device for guitarists, bass and keyboard players using old analogue synthesizers. The device is equipped with 1/4" jacks on the front and rear. The seven-segment display automatically indicates the played note. The tuner's output may be muted while tuning. An integrated tone generator ranges from C1-B5 in semitone steps.
The SINE DI 4, a four-channel active Direct In box, and the eight-channel SINE DI 8 round out the SINE product range. Inputs with pad facility (20 dB and 40 dB) and output signals are galvanically separated. Unbalanced signals are converted to balanced output with ground lift switch.
