Unveiled at winter NAMM 2004, CAD's anticipated equitek2 condenser mics, completely designed and engineered by CAD's Engineering department, provide a high level of performance--at a price point that once again redefines performance for price.
The e1002 studio/live condenser is shipping, while the e602 instrument mic and e3002 large diaphragm condenser are scheduled to ship after the Summer NAMM show 2004.
The equitek2 series mics are very versatile and suitable for recording and live sound applications.
Combining versatility and performance, the e1002 supercardioid electret condenser features a frequency response of 10-18kHz, dynamic range of 132dB, total harmonic distortion > 0.15%, high output capability of 148dB SPL with pad, transformerless balanced output circuits as well as an internal power reservoir system.
The e1002 has a single capsule for the single supercardioid polar pattern, and the e2002 employs twin capsules for producing three patterns (supercardioid, omnidirectional, and figure of 8).
The e3002 features a large diameter (1.1") externally biased, dual diaphragm capsule for producing three polar patterns (cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure 8).
Commenting on the new equitek2 line, CAD National Sales Manager Tony O'Keefe stated, "This line brings back the sonic quality, performance and value of the original Equitek mics, with new technology and more models to excel in any application."
CAD is exhibiting at Booth #535 at summer NAMM show 2004, Nashville. The new equitek series is available at CAD's US dealers.
