Tracktion Software Corporation launches all-new Tracktion 4

At Winter NAMM show 2013, Anaheim, Mackie announced the sale and transition of Tracktion Music Production Software to the Tracktion Software Corporation (TSC). TSC is led by three principals; Julian ‘Jules’ Storer, the original creator of Tracktion as well as James ‘Woody’ Woodburn and Dave Christenson.
Tracktion is a offers a radically easy approach to composing, recording, editing, mixing and sharing music on a Mac or PC. Based on a simple single-screen interface, Tracktion aims to be the fast, powerful and complete solution for music production at any level.
“We are proud to announce not only the acquisition of Tracktion Music Production Software, but that Tracktion 4 is available immediately,” remarked James Woodburn. “New and existing users can download the powerful new software today and start working on their next project.”
Tracktion 4 is available via the Tracktion website since the 2013 NAMM show. T4 provides support for OSX Mountain Lion to take advantage of Apple’s very latest hardware and operating systems. It also provides support for Microsoft’s Windows 7 & 8. Apple Audio Unit (AU) is supported to open a new world of effects and instruments for Tracktion users and the latest generation audio codec from Microsoft, Windows Media Audio (WMA) is also supported. Windows Audio Session API (WASAPI) is included for optimized audio data management between applications. There is also support for 64bit Mac and PC operating systems.
