Ludwig expands Vistalite series

Since the re-introduction of the Ludwig Vistalite in 2001 drummers kept asking for options such as more colours, additional drums and accessories. On the heels of its success with its Amber Vistalite drum outfit, Ludwig Drums eventually has expanded the line, offering more colours and options than ever before. Ludwig Vistalite is now also available in Clear, Blue and Yellow in Ludwig's 'Big Beat' configuration. The 'Big Beat' features a 16"x22" bass drum, a 16"x16" floor tom, 8"x12" and 9"x13" mounted toms and a matching 5"x14" snare. The outfit is available with complete hardware. Ludwig Mini-Classic lugs and tom mounts are standard, but options include Large Classic lugs. All toms are also available with Vibra-Bands. "Vistalite continues to grow as an important product group in the Ludwig line," said Jim Catalano, director of marketing for Ludwig. "While the legend of Ludwig Vistalite continues to feed its retro status, today's players are also recognizing the tremendous sound characteristics and look these drums provide." Ludwig showed the whole range at winter Namm show 2006 and will be exhibiting at Musikmesse Frankfurt in March in Hall 3, B18.
