Balance drum set by reducing cymbal volume with Cympads

Taking advantage of an advanced accessory to improve the sound and performance of their cymbals, renowned drum artists such as Shannon Larkin (Godsmack), Thomas Lang (Stork), James Kottak (Scorpions), Nate Morton (Cher) and Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean) are replacing their old cymbal felts with “Optimizer” foam washers from Cympad. These drummers join an increasing number of drummers who are choosing to use Cympad’s premium-grade, cellular foam cymbal washers for a wide range of modern playing styles and situations.
The 40mm diameter Cympad “Optimizer” washers come in 8, 12 and 15mm thicknesses, are suitable for all cymbal sizes, types and brands, and are designed to outperform and outlast conventional felt washers—increasing cymbal balance and sustain, isolating vibration from the stand and preventing breakage.
"Cympad is the best new drum accessory since the drumkey!” claims Scorpions’ drummer, James Kottak. Shannon Larkin of Godsmack adds, “Not only does Cympad make the cymbals sound better it makes them feel better.” Concludes Ricvh Richmond, “Try them for yourself. You'll be a believer."
Cympad was founded by drummer Reto Hirschi in 2005. Realizing that often the cymbals' volume level was too high compared to other instruments, he started developing Cympad to acoustically balance the drum set and freeing drummers from earplugs and Plexiglas walls.
