Announced at winter NAMM 2003, the Pro 1 of the GEM Real Piano series features an 88 note keyboard with fully weighted and balanced hammer action. Generalmusic has designed the Pro 1 as an affordable but still excellent instrument for the decerning musician.
The Pro 1 uses a combination of sample analysis and physical modeling to reproduce the tonal environment of a grand piano. The tonal characteristics of the finest grand pianos have been analyzed and been implemented in the final composite sound. Combined with GEM's modeling algorithms like Damper Physical Model, Natural String Resonance and Advanced Release Technology and using FFT Merge technology the Pro 1's piano sounds got their natural sound and feel. Other sounds like organs, harpsichord, tuned percussion and more add up to two sound families containing 16 sounds each. Sounds can be split or layered across the keyboard and further enhanced with the two digital effects sections provided. Further features are 64 real note polyphony, three pedals, 64 user programmable performances, 2x6 W internal amplification, full MIDI interface and headphones connection. |
