The year 2002 marked the 15th anniversary of Blade guitars. Gary Levinson, founder of Blade Guitars, exhibited the first Blade R-4 in October 1987 at the Tokyo Music Fair. A combination of classic design and innovative technology is the key to Blade Guitars. Inherent resonant frequencies of woods, innovative electronics and the tonal effect of hardware designs are important factors in Gary Levinson's concept development. Equally as important is the role of "metaphysics" - or magic. Exhaustive research goes into those exclusive components that make a great guitar feel and sound right to a player.
Elixir Strings have been chosen as standard equipment on their entire range of Blade Guitars.
Located in Hyvinkaa, Finland, Ruokangas Guitars was founded by luthier Juha Ruokangas in 1995. All Ruokangas Guitars combine the use of modern CNC technology with traditional craftmanship. The high level of workmanship, build quality and specification is enforced by the fact that everyone at Ruokangas Guitars can hand build a guitar from scratch. Juha Ruokangas has chosen Elixir Strings as standard equipment on Ruokangas Guitars.
