Roland introduces the Boss ME-20B multi-effects unit

Unveiled at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2007, the ME-20B multi-effects unit for bass made its US debut at Namm Summer Session in Austin, Texas. Optimized for live performance, it offers the same performance-based design as its guitar-focused ME-20 (launched at Musikmesse, too) in counterpart, the ME-20B is aimed at the performing bassist who wants stage-friendly effects and solid construction at an affordable price. Mix, match, and customize a wide variety of effects, including compressor, overdrive,distortion, T-Wah, phaser, flanger, chorus, delay, reverb, defretter, synth, and more.
The processor features a newly designed super tough metal chassis complete with three foot switches, five realtime control knobs, and an expression pedal. The EZ Edit feature allows preset effect templates to be selected which call up entire effect settings with the turn of a single knob. A 'Bass Enhance' function provides an instant presence boost.
In addition to the realtime performance-based operation, 30 user memory locations are available allowing players to store their favorite sounds for easy retrieval during practice and performance.
Battery or AC operated; the ME-20B Multiple Effects Processor allows musician’s to take it anywhere, anytime.
