Unveiled at Summer NAMM 2011, Nashville TN, Fishman introduced the Loudbox Artist acoustic amplifier. A preliminary version already had been showcased at Musikmesse 2011, Frankfurt, Germany. Eventually, at Musikmesse 2012 the Loudbox Artist won a prestigious MIPA Award, voted for by about 100 print and online magazines from all over the globe. During Musikmesse Frankfurt 2013 received its second trophy of the Musikmesse International Press Award MIPA 2013!
The Loudbox Artist acoustic instrument amplifier features two mic/instrument channels with 1/4” and XLR inputs, 3-band EQ and feedback controls, auxiliary stereo input with level control and 1/4” and 1/8” connectors, and a dual digital effects section with independent channel and effects level offering reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, echo, and slap echo.
Balanced XLR outputs are found on each input channel and main mix. A channel mute can silence both input channels. A headphone output is accesable at the front panel. A foot switch connector is provided for remote muting of input channels or chorus, flanger, and slap echo.
Further features include shelving bass and treble plus resonant-style midrange, notch filter and phase switch for feedback control, input gain with 10dB pad and clip indicator, reverb and delay effects level, dedicated effects loop and 24V phantom power for condensor microphones.
