MTD incorporate Buzz Feiten Tuning System
On behalf of Michael Tobias Designs, Michael Tobias has announced that
the decision to license the Buzz Feiten tuning system and incorporate the
design into all the company's US hand built basses. After carefully studying
the system and obtain the input of noted players such as Jimmy Haslip and
Jerry Watts, MTD concluded the system results in significant improvements
in overall tone and voicing, especially noticeable when working with keyboards
and horns. Response to the first group of basses produced with the Feiten
system has, according to MTD, been enthousiastic. As a result, the company
will also be offering the system as a retrofit for current owners of MTD
