At winter NAMM 2001 Shure introduced the Beta 53
headworn mic designed for live theatre and presentation applications. The
lightweight condenser unit features a microphone element measuring a mere
5.8 mm in diameter, an omnidirectional polar pattern, and a frequency response
extending from 20 to 20,000 Hz.
With a thin, ergonomic frame created to ensure user comfort, the Shure Beta 53 is secured with a modular headband and equipped with a detachable boom mount to easily facilitate precise microphone positioning. The new headset, available in both beige and black, is also corrosion resistant and easy to clean. The Beta 53 comes with a pair of interchangeable frequency response caps for mild and high boost and two termination options (a Tini Q-G* connector that mates with any Shure wireless transmitter, or tinned leads). The microphone is also packaged with its own carrying case. |
