The Eurovision Song Contest is more than just 26 European countries coming together for harmonious competition. It's also the coming together of many lighting companies who work as one to create a spectacular worldwide broadcast event, estimated to draw a TV audience of 200 million.
The 2003 event in Riga, Latvia featured more than 300 High End Systems products in the show. Lighting designer Per Sundin has designed a show that promises to dazzle with 10 Catalyst systems, 108 Studio Beam, 116 x.Spot High Output, 20 x.Spot 4:1 and 67 Studio Spot CMY 575.
The lead contractor was Spectra + of Sweden, which worked alongside Riga-based Company NA Ltd., to supply lighting, video, rigging, technical coordination and crew. Other equipment came from AED Rent Belgium, Flashlight Holland, Starlight Sweden, Masstechnik, Lang Audio Vision in Germany and one Catalyst system from High End Systems Europe.
