Zero 88 was not exhibiting within the main PLASA 2002 exhibition. Instead, they booked the upper floor of a pub for three days to demonstrate new products, offer training on key product ranges, hold meetings and generally catch up.

Updated Alcora and Elara Desks

These ever-popular desks from Zero 88 have had a makeover and are now available in both 12/24 and 24/48 channel versions. Each desk now has full DMX patching and the ability to transfer shows between desks using the low-cost Zero 88 memory module.
Continuing the development of the Chilli Pro range Zero 88 launched two new dimmers and additional control panel options. The dimmer range will be completed with the addition of a Chilli Pro 410 dimmer and Chilli Pro 410HF, for controlling HF and DSI ballasts. These units can be integrated into new or existing installations and have full ChilliNet capability.
Two additional control panels are now available. The options include 10 button, 5 button and 2 button varients, enabling dimming systems to be configured more specifically. All control panels are available in Brushed Stainless Steel and Brushed Brass finishes.

Illusion 500 re-designed

Following market feedback Zero88 have re-designed the style of the Illusion and equipped it with 500 channels as standard. The desk will retain all the features of the current models, and will be developed further in the future. The newly styled 500 channel Illusions will be available from the end of September 2002.

Frog Family Software 7

Release 7 of the Frog series operating software is now available. This software adds a large amount of new functionality to the desks in the range, as well as fixing a number of reported bugs. The movement effects engine in the desk has been updated, providing a greatly extended set of controls. X and Y scaling of effects, rotation and offset have all been added allowing greater control. A fan function has been added, allowing automatic position spreads and colour rainbow effects to be quickly generated. The console will now be able to operate in an extended 'partial' mode, allowing the operator to record down to attribute level on submasters and in memories. This function makes it much easier to 'layer' effects of different types and build shows more rapidly. The keyboard functionality, which had previously been limited to name entry only, has been extended to allow numeric entry of memory numbers and patching information.

Zero 88 Auction Website

In support of continued website development Zerro 88 are adding Auction Room to their website. The facility will be used by Zero 88 and its dealers to sell used demonstration and rental stock.
