Avolites introduces its new Titan Operating System and the Pearl Expert at LDI 2008

Developed from the original D4 Operating System, Avolites introduces its new Titan Operating System at PLASA 2008 and at LDI, Las Vegas, booth #2121. Titan adds new features to the Diamond 4 console and brings powerful features from the Diamond 4 to the Pearl Expert. Titan retains Avolites’ popular, fast, friendly operation, combining the best features and functionality for both consoles. All Titan based consoles offer powerful functions like Fixture Exchange, Clone Fixture and Multiple Timers.
Fixture Exchange makes it quick and easy to exchange fixtures from one type of manufacturer for another. Clone Fixture enables the adding of additional fixtures into a show even after extensive programming, with all cloned fixtures inheriting their properties from the source fixture. Both functions require the minimum effort to learn and use and can be performed off line using the Titan Simulator.
Titan Expert for the Pearl delivers Diamond 4 features including Multiple Times on Cues and Memories on Preset Faders. It includes the brand new graphical user interface, “Matrix”, making “off line” tasks like patching and cue management faster and more intuitive, both on the move and at the console. Titan Matrix can be installed on laptops, optimising time spent at the console for actual lighting design and programming, whilst allowing shows to be prepared on a laptop away from the console. Titan also includes improved Simulator panels for use on and off line.
Titan connects seamlessly to Avolites’ ShowSafe systems for a cost-effective backup solution to Diamond 4 and Pearl Expert consoles. Titan ShowFiles are cross-loadable between all Titan based consoles making it a fully cross console Operating System, running on the Diamond 4, Pearl Expert and PC’s.
Titan Remote is a native application that can run on an iPhone or an iPod Touch, turning these devices into remote focusing tools that enable fixtures to be turned on/off. It will also run fixture macros like Home, Reset, Strike Lamp, and can be used to set DMX channel levels and activate console playbacks.
