FBT expands HiMaxx series with self-powered loudspeakers

FBT HiMaxx 60 Following the release of the series' first product HiMaxx 40a (12/2) in late 2007, FBT introduced two new products to the HiMaxx line at winter NAMM show and at prolight+sound show 2008 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Also availabale as HIMaxx 60 passive 2-way model, the self-powered HIMaxx 60a loudspeaker is equipped with a newly developed 15“ driver by B&C which is highly efficient thanks to an enlarged Neodymium magnet and a special diaphragm. The high frequencies are served by a B&C 1,4“ driver featurung a 2,5“ coil. In bi-amping mode the loudspeaker provides a power handling of 700+200 watts RMS. A class D amplifier (PWM) powers the bass, a class G amplifier does the higher frequencies.
Also released was HiMaxx 100Sa, a powered 18“ bandpass system featuring 900 Watt RMS (Class D - PWM) with B&C driver. Like all FBT systems, this subwoofer features stereo connectors plus crossover. The system's bandpass design increases the efficiencyu and the sound pressure level of the 100Sa which can be combined with with HiMaxx 60a or HiMaxx 40a.
