Renkus-Heinz adds IC Live low-mid and sub models to its Iconyx line

The Renkus-Heinz Iconyx family of digitally steered array loudspeaker systems continues to grow with the addition of two new models designed for live applications in the IC Live series which were launched at InfoComm 2010, Las Vegas, and showcased at PLASA 2010 in London. Latest additions also were higlighted at Prolight+Sound Show 2011, Frankfurt.
In a relatively short time, the IC Live series has made a significant impact on the live sound industry, with Renkus-Heinz’s steerable array technology gaining acclaim among live sound professionals. Now Renkus-Heinz expands the range and versatility of IC Live with the introduction of Iconyx ICL-LM-R low-mid frequency module and IC212S-R subwoofer.
The ICL-LM-R is a low-midrange module designed to augment a full-range IC Live array, adding well controlled low-mid frequency directivity to a single or dual ICL-R equipped system. The ICL-LM-R’s seven 6.5 inch low frequency neodymium transducers significantly improve low-mid frequency pattern control and performance below 800 Hz.
Sporting a matching IC Live enclosure, a single ICL-LM-R module can blend seamlessly with single or dual ICL-R modules and one or two IC212S-R or IC215S-R subwoofers to create a powerful, full-range live sound solution that offers control in even the most challenging spaces. Both portable (R models) and permanent installation (FR models) are available.
Also making its debut at InfoComm was the IC212S-R subwoofer, a dual 12-inch subwoofer designed for applications that do not require the extended low frequency range of the IC215S-R subwoofer.
Iconyx IC Live arrays use advanced digital beam steering technology to deliver impeccable sound, with slim enclosures that blend into any environment. IC Live beams can be steered up or down while the array remains vertical – and nearly invisible. Individual driver control maximizes the acoustical advantages of this design. The result is unsurpassed vertical pattern control – essential for delivering intelligible speech in reverberant spaces.
