Launched at prolight + sound show 2009, Frankfurt, Klein + Hummel also showcases the K8 digital audio distribution system with an 8 channel microphone interface at InfoComm 2009, in Orlando, Florida, booth #5733. Featuring remote controllable gain and phantom power the K8 MI8 is compatible with a wide range of microphones and may be used in applications where it is desirable to combine up to 16 microphone channels onto a single Category 5 cable for transport up to 200 meters away.
The K8 system works out of the box with no system programming. For advanced applications, a single computer connection allows remote control and monitoring of every device on a K8 system through an open protocol compatible with control systems. Applications for the K8 MI8 include placement under a conference table to collect and concentrate microphone signals, remote configuration for conference and convention centers and transport of professional quality microphone signals without induced noise or ground loops.
