D.A.S. Aero provides Cleveland Browns' fans with 'ultimate sound experience'

It started with a desire to provide their fans with the “Ultimate Sound Experience” and “Durell L.L.C” was encouraged to look for ways to make the Cleveland Browns' fan experience like no other in the NFL (National Football League). Having ongoing relationships and delivered sound systems at the Kansas City Royals (MLB), Kansas City Chiefs (NFL), Tennessee Titans (NFL), Cincinnati Bengals (NFL), Bristol Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Conseco Fieldhouse (NBA), and the Nashville Predators (NHL), Durell was a natural choice. The new distributed public address system at the Cleveland Browns Stadium was completed July 2006.
Four custom made large rolling field carts were made, each a self contained PA using D.A.S. self-powered Aero Line Arrays and dual 18” subwoofers to enhance extreme low frequency delivery to the lower seats. With a total of sixteen dual 18” speaker cabinets plus thirty-two Aero 38A mid/high line array speaker, this unique field audio delivery system is used for pre-game practice and warm ups (due to NFL restrictions it has to be turned off during the matches), and will have a second use with speakers directed at the end zone area. The eastern end zone section, home to the famous “Dog Pound” will experience enhanced audio derived from new parabolic microphones designed to pick up the “sound from the line”. This system will deliver the “calls” and “crunches” just like the TV broadcast.
