D.A.S. introduces powered line-array system for fixed installation

Launched at prolight+sound 2006, Frankfurt, D.A.S. will show the the self-powered Variant 25A line-array system at Plasa 2006 in London. Designed for fixed installations in clubs, restaurants, malls or houses of worship, this system is available in black or white. Featuring a rotatable horn, Variant 25A line-arrays can be set up horizontally or vertically. The system uses a class D amplifier and two 10" drivers for the low range and a class A/B amp for the high frequencies.
Another new installation product is the re-released Bidriver, a 10"/1" coaxial driver for central clusters in stadia.
Following the of the 2-way 12" powered speaker SML-12A at winter Namm 2006, D.A.S. introduced the 15" model SML-15A. The SML-15A’s low frequency section makes use of the 15LN, a 15" low frequency driver with a 3" voice coil and neodymium magnet structure which incorporates the T.A.F. (Total Air Flow) cooling. The high frequency section of the SML-15A utilizes a neodymium compression driver with 1.5" exit and 3" titanium diaphragm. The compression driver is coupled to a horn offering a 60º x 40º coverage pattern which can be rotated for use in the vertical position.
The cabinet permits adaptation of the monitor to left or right hand versions by way of a rear back plate that allows that amp to be swapped from one side to another.
