Coda Audio expands its range of installation products

At Prolight + Sound 2013, Frankfurt, Coda Audio added three models to its installation range. The D12- 2-way passive installation system is designed to deliver best near-field sonic performance in a compact high output 600W (AES) single enclosure. Another addition to the D-Series was the D20 full-range, 3-way point source single compact enclosure operating from 35Hz – 20kHz, with a 1000W (AES - measured with Pink Noise) output. The D20 provides a solution for applications where additional sub bass cabinets just can’t be used, either due to space or budget. The Omnio5 is an omnidirectional passive system based on a 5”/1” coaxial loudspeaker, providing uniform 360° coverage and a frequency response from 80Hz – 20kHz. Housed in solid aluminium enclosure Omnio5 is designed primarily for outdoor use in such environments as theme parks, hotels and airports. All of the new installation systems plus the ViRay, CoRay, G500 and G700 ranges will be highlighted at Integrated Systems Europe 2014 (ISE), Amsterdam, stand 7-H186.
The D12's cabinet contains a high power 12” woofer and a coaxially mounted ring diaphragm high frequency driver with 44.4 mm voice coil. The advanced design aligns the acoustic centers of the transducers to produce a single point source. This technology provides a coherent wave front without hot spots. Precise directivity of 90° conical ensures uniform coverage. With a frequency response from 60 Hz to 20 kHz (-4 dB) the D12 can be matched with Coda Audio's Linus or C3/C5 amplifiers as an integrated solution providiong DSP control, amplification, network remote control and diagnostic.
Coda D20Coda Audio’s D20 (photo left) offers a 35 Hz - 20 kHz (-4 dB) solution to applications where full range frequency response is the requirement, but placement of those extra sub cabinets is impossible. This situation applies to many midsized bars, cafés, clubs, AV applications, corporate presentations, TV studios, theatres, educational facilities or shopping malls.
The cabinet contains a long excursion 12” ultra low distortion cone driver covering the range 35 Hz – 400 Hz. The 3” voice coil is 32 mm high, ensuring linear excursion of 22 mm / pp. Three aluminium shorting rings reduce inter-modulation distortion and minimize induction variation, while reducing thermal compression. This design reduces distortion and improves overall sound quality. At the heart of the D20 is Coda’s latest 8”/1” coaxial driver. The midrange of the 8” cone covers the 200 - 1800 Hz range, the high frequency driver contains a light 1.75” annular diaphragm covering 1 kHz to 20 kHz. The new transducer was engineered to radiate a single source, coherent 90° wave front for superior dispersion control and high fidelity sound. The D20 is designed to work exclusively with dedicated Coda Audio LINUS or C3/C5 amplifiers as an integrated solution for DSP control, amplification, network remote control and diagnostic.
Coada Omnio5 omnidirectional passive loudspeakerThe passive omnidirectional Omnio5's (photo right) housing is constructed from solid aluminum with special two part coating finishes, available in any RAL colour. The enclosure body height can be made to suit varying height/mounting needs. With a nominal impedance of 16 Ohm and optional 100 V / 70 V operation available, the Omnio5 has a power handling of 150 W (AES) and a frequency response from 80 Hz to 20 kHz. It is also designed to work exclusively with dedicated Coda Audio Linus or C3/C5 amplifiers.
