Coda Audio launches C3 amplifier at Prolight+Sound 2012

German loudspeaker manufacturer Coda Audio reported a successful Prolight+Sound 2012, with interest in its products continuing to come from a diverse array of territories. As well as its current range of loudspeaker cabinets, including the CoRAY4 which was demonstrated in the Portable Sound Arena and AIRLINE LA12, demonstrated in the Concert Sound Arena, Coda launched the powerful and versatile C3 power amplifier, as well as revealing its ability to now supply a Polyurea coating for all cabinets upon request. The C3 is a rugged, 19 inch /2U high performance, two channel power amplifier. It integrates light-weight power supplies with high power class D amplification and features either USB or network controlled 24 bit 96kHz via powerful SHARC-based DSP. The C3’s outputs can be configured as 2 x 1250W at 2 Ohms or 1 x 2500W at 4 Ohms, it has 2 Ohm and 70 /100V line capability, two inputs/outputs and 96kHz DSP with real-time monitoring. The C3 has the capability to recall up to four different groups of settings by means of rear panel contact closure inputs, particularly useful for voice evacuation applications where it may be necessary to mute the current audio source, switch to an alternate input carrying the evacuation message and broadcast it with different level and EQ settings. This can be done automatically on each pair of C3 channels, either independently or collectively. The C3 features C-Net network remote control and is dedicated to managing a range of Coda Audio products. Factory presets are included for G-Series, D-Series CUE monitors, LA4 and CoRAY systems and with the four channel C5 unit handling G300-, G500- and G700-Series, D-Series, K-Series, CUE Monitors, LA4 and the new CoRAY4 / CoRAY4i systems, optimal power solutions are now provided for a any fixed installation application.
Coda also hosted an informal meeting on its stand during the show where, as well as highlighting noteworthy new and existing products, it recognized the considerable achievements of its distributors. This year honours were awarded to Thomsen Phan of PT Gracia Auvindo of Indonesia, Sascha Klein of audiovation in Germany, Albert Fresko from Turkey’s Nefan Ticaret ve Sanayi, Italy’s Grisby Music’s Gianni Nocenzi, Kjeld Østergaard Larsen from DTK Audio Produkter A/S in Denmark, Shohei Kojima from Japan’s Hibino Intersound Corporation, Zhejiang Tongbo Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd, China’s John Kwan and James Yeung from ESi Audio Consultancy Pte Ltd in Singapore. “All our distributors work extremely hard for us,” says Coda’s Mick Anderson. “We very much appreciate their efforts in helping to continue to increase the strength of the Coda brand around the world.
