AMS Neve Libra Live aids production research and
training in Helsinki

An AMS Neve Libra Live digital broadcast production console has been specified
by the University of Arts and Design in Helsinki for a new purpose-built
televison studio facility. Finnish broadcaster, YLE, acted as a consultant
to the University by supervising the project in terms of technical equipment
and solutions.
The Libra Live has been installed by AMS Neve's Finland based distributor
OyHedCom Ab, who are responsible for the complete audio, video and lighting
installation. The Libra Live console will be used for a wide range of televison
production research, in addition to ongoing training exercises. The University
primarily chose the Libra Live because of the console's combination of
features available, such as simple configuration using the Libra snapshot
facility, which enables fast turnaround betwwen different setups. In addition,
the surround sound production capabilities were particularly relevant to
the type of work carried out at the facility, which boasts full digital
video and audio capabilities. Furthermore the Libra Live control surface
will appeal to both general purpose and also more specialised sound operators,
who are able to appreciate the console's advanced features and flexibility.
