King marching tuba allows for clearly viewing left

Conn-Selmer introduces the model 1151 King Ultimate Marching Tuba. Not only does the instrument’s sound penetrate and carry across the field; its unique design boasts a unique “sight window” design (patent pending) which allows the player a clear line of sight to the left. The benefits of this sight window are tremendous, considering the impact on show design and the ability of the player to actuate moves with much more confidence.
The new instrument has a .734” bore and 21” bell and was developed in close cooperation with the Phantom Regiment Drum Corps. The three-valve instrument features an angled ergonomic valve section that allow for maximum speed and dexterity. A fast-action double slip slide (patent pending) provides for instant tuning.
The instrument’s outfit includes a professional, original Helleberg mouthpiece and a sturdy hardshell case with wheels for easy transport. The King Ultimate Marching Tuba is available in clear lacquer as model 1151 and in bright silver plate at model 1151SP.
