A Zildjian cymbal line with enhanced sound and new look

The Avedis Zildjian Company is celebrating its 390th anniversary in 2013 with a new look and enhanced sound for its legacy line of cymbals – A Zildjian. A Zildjian cymbals have been at the center of countless recordings by generations of legendary artists and bands. Started at Winter NAMM, Zildjian is shining a bright light on the A Zildjian line by dialing into the essence of that classic sound. The Zildjian factory has made adjustments to the curvature and weights of the line to capture the sweet spot of the A sound - resulting in enhanced crashes, rides and hats that reflect today’s musical styles.
Also in 2013, Zildjian is re-introducing the 19” and 20” A Zildjian Thin Crashes and 20” A Zildjian Medium Thin Crash, and introducing a new 23” A Zildjian Sweet Ride – all in response to drummers’ requests for larger, thinner models.
The 19” and 20” A Zildjian thin crashes and the 20” A Zildjian medium thin crash offer drummers larger sizes; a classic, full-bodied sound; and a broad sonic range and wash. The new 23” medium thin A Zildjian sweet ride (photo), inspired by the popular 21” model, offers clean stick definition for riding as well as a powerful crash component, making this a dynamic and versatile cymbal that can be used in virtually any musical setting.
