Gear4music launch digital grand at a competitive price point

Gear4music have announced a full size Digital Grand Piano that retails at £999.99 in the United Kingdom. The piano features 88 hammer action keys, which give solid playability and ensure accurate response and feedback to the performer. Modelled after some of the most well known names in piano design, and finished in a deep, polished ebony, this piano will add style to any home or work environment.
This Digital Grand comes with 8 stereo sampled PCM voices that range from a big and clear Grand Piano sound, through to String and Organ tones. With the addition of a dual effect system for adding Reverb and Chorus, this piano provides a very wide palette of easily accessible sounds.
On the front of the piano there is an intuitive control panel with a clear two line LCD display to enable easy navigation of the menu functions. Changing the current voice or adjusting treble and bass settings is made very simple through this interface. The inclusion of a 2 track multi-track recorder on board allows the player to build on and improve their compositions, as well as easily simulate another performer being present.
As with all of Gear4music’s 2009 piano models, the Digital Grand features a USB MIDI interface that allows the user to control their favourite virtual instruments from the piano’s keyboard.
Heather Spencer, Piano and Keyboard specialist at Gear4music, explained why she was excited about the launch of this new Digital Grand; “Gear4music has a proven tradition in producing high quality digital pianos. Working closely with our tried and tested suppliers, we have developed a Digital Grand Piano that offers advanced features at a fraction of the cost of the leading brands. The ebony finish on this piano means that it will add a touch of class into any home or professional environment.”
