At Musikmesse Frankfurt Wersi launched the latest version of their Open Art System, OAS4, the extensions to upgrade the keyboard workstation Abacus to a twin keyboard instrument with 76 keys on the lower keyboard, and also a choice of three pedalboards with 13, 17 or 25 keys. The Abacus-Duo can either be upgraded to model Duo-Pro, which is stored and moved easily in a flightcase or a gigbag, or to the stylish Duo-DeLuxe, whose upper keyboard (actually a complete Abacus) can be taken off and played on its own, too.
Owners of existing Abacus keyboards also can benefit from the upgrades.
The new instruments will also be showing at the traditional spring party at Wersi's headquarters in Halsenbach, Germany, June 7-9 2002.
