At Musikmesse Prolight+Sound 2002 Alesis show upgrades to the popular QS6 and QS8 synthesizer models, which have been announced at winter NAMM in Anaheim.
The most important enhancement to both the QS6.2 and QS8.2 is the addition of 4MB of internal Flash memory. This not only gives the synthesizer 4MB of new sounds, but allows for the creation of custom sample sets to be available directly from the keyboard. The more obvious upgrade to both the QS6.2 and QS8.2 is the sleek, "industrial" silver design exterior. In addition, both models have been updated with the new Alesis 24-bit digital-to-analog converters for enhanced sound quality.
