Eden unveils high-end WT1205 and practice amp N8

The highly anticipated Eden WT1205 was unveiled at winter Namm show 2006, Anaheim, and will make its European debut at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2006. The ‘WT’ stands for World Tour and marks Eden’s most ambitious and versatile bass amplifier to date. The WT1205 is a two-channel amplifier with full control sets for each channel, meaning that it’s possible to use two bass guitars simultaneously and dial up a dedicated tone for each. Alternatively, players can run a single bass through the amplifier and switch between channels via the included footswitch. This sophisticated feature for the live circuit is complemented by pre/post-EQ FX loops on each channel, plus automix technology that sends the amp’s signal to outboard equipment. Each channel features a 7025 tube in the front end, supplying organic warmth, while Eden has also included its Enhance Control and Dynamic Boost circuitry. Power is delivered via a pair of integrated power amplifiers that use Eden’s proprietary toroid transformer to deliver (at peak power in Mono Bridge mode) 2400 watts. There are many Eden speaker systems that match well with the WT1205, but perhaps the most suitable is the new D610XLT, which receives a massive 1100watts RMS from the WT1205 in Bridge Mode. Another new Eden product for 2006 is the Nemesis N8 practice amp, designed to let beginners hear the exact nuances of what they’re playing – and therefore develop their bass technique faster. The amp offers 40 watts RMS that will cope in any jam situation. It all flows through a single Eden-designed 8 inch speaker whose spec is similar to that found in the Nemesis Silver Series N28S. Features include separate Gain and Master Volume, both active and passive inputs, 3-band EQ section for tone shaping, an effects loop, built-in compression, and a headphone output.
