Sounds of bluegrass with "The Doyle Lawson Signature Mandolin"

Gibson takes the legendary sound of one of the worlds best bluegrass gospel artists and creates the Doyle Lawson Signature F-5 Mandolin". This is the first model created from the Gibson Original division that recognizes a gospel artist.
Lawson has had an illustrious career that began in 1963 with Jimmy Martin & the Sunny Mountain Boys. He then formed his own band, 'Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver', and in 1979, Lawson and Quicksilver became known for gospel harmonies taken from both white quartet singing and the African American gospel tradition. Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver are currently touring the United States in support of their new album 'You Gotta Dig A Little Deeper'.
"It is with great pride that I endorse the Gibson 'Lawson' Signature mandolin," says Lawson. "Bluegrass music and Gibson mandolins have an association going back to the very beginning of bluegrass, and I look forward to being a part of the Gibson family."
"The Doyle Lawson Signature Mandolin" features a spruce top, flame maple back and sides and ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Unique appointments include bound f holes, floral headstock inlay and abbreviated fingerboard extension. It comes in a Cremona Sunburst finish with gold hardware.
