At summer NAMM show 2004 in Nashville, Booth #1450, Nashville Convention Center, Fishman will showcase its vast array of acoustic amplification solutions including the new Ellipse Blend system. With Ellipse Blend acoustic players can add blending capabilities to their Acoustic-Matrix or Powerjack-equipped guitar without visible modification to the instrument.
The Ellipse Blend makes it simple to upgrade to a complete Fishman onboard blending system, complete with the added audio quality and responsiveness of a high-quality condenser microphone.
"We have created the Ellipse Blend system in response to customer requests to add blending capabilities and volume control to several of our popular undersaddle guitar pickups in an onboard format," confided Jason Cambra, Fishman's Chief Operating Officer. "The real convenience of the Ellipse Blend, in terms of Fishman's integrated onboard approach, and also the fact that you don't have to cut a hole in your guitar, is very appealing to a lot of players."
The Ellipse Blend's flexible soundhole-mount condenser mini-microphone features volume, blend, and phase controls for tone-shaping flexibility. The system is 9V battery-operated (sharing power with Acoustic Matrix preamp) and fits most round soundholes.
