Washburn Guitars release Solid Wood acoustic guitar series

Washburn WD250SW At the Winter NAMM show 2011, Washburn Guitars added the Solid Wood acoustic guitar series to its lineup. Also introduced at Musikmesse 2011, Frankfurt/Main, Germany, these naturally colored guitars are designed for an experienced player looking for a full-bodied sounding instrument, with the durability and quality expected from a solid wood guitar.
The Solid Wood acoustics are available in two body styles, dreadnought and classical. Both are crafted of solid spruce or cedar tops and mahogany necks with mahogany, rosewood or ovankol sides and backs. The dreadnought version is complimented with rosewood fretboards and bridges, abalone rosettes, and mahogany or rosewood bindings.
The classical body shape will include low tension, nylon strings that offer greater spacing to accommodate the finger style playing that classical players utilize. Like most solid bodied acoustics, both styles will deliver full bodied tone that improves with age.
