Sennheiser launches white versions of modular microphones for installation

At Integrated Systems Europe 2011 in Amsterdam, Sennheiser presented modular white microphones for ceiling installation and a new entry-level series of speakers’ microphones that offers Sennheiser quality at an attractive price.
Some of the well-known Installed Sound microphones from Sennheiser are now available in white for the first time. The new models blend harmoniously into the background when suspended microphones are required in public buildings, conference rooms or houses of worship – for example for recording a choir. The white models include the ME 34 W (cardioid), the ME 35 W (super-cardioid) and the small ME 36 W shotgun microphone (super-cardioid/lobar). White combination accessories are also available, including a short gooseneck (MZH 3015 W), a metal ceiling hanger for attaching and aligning the microphone head (MZH 30 W) and a twist-free, 9 m cable with a cable winder (MZC 30 W). “These components enable the customer to put together individual, tailor-made solutions to transmit the sound in optimum quality,” explained Product Manager Kai Tossing. “A perfect solution for speech and vocals.”
At ISE, Sennheiser is also presenting the first two models of an entry-level series of speakers’ microphones. The MEG 14-40-B gooseneck microphone and its sister model, the MEG 14-40-LB with an LED ring, feature a KE 10 cardioid capsule from Sennheiser in rugged metal housings. “The microphones are manufactured at our state-of-the-art production facility in Germany – and come at an attractive price,” Kai Tossing added. “They are ideally suited for equipping conference halls, speakers’ podiums and announcement desks and are the optimum choice for planners looking for a cost-effective solution with excellent intelligibility.”
In order to provide support for all types of public address projects, Sennheiser is now offering an Installed Sound Microphone Finder at www.sennheiser.com. The Microphone Finder assists in finding the right microphones for the application as well as for the acoustic environment and its characteristics. When selecting one of the proposed microphone solutions, the Finder then explains the individual components, provides 3D planning data (dxf files) and downloadable pdf files with microphone descriptions, technical data, profiles and precise dimensions for installation.
